Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka is a British-American sitarist and musician. She was first within her age bracket to be a member of the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Sitar Shankar, the Indian young sitar star. She is the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was in London in 1982, and began her life by hopping back and forth between London in London and New Delhi. As a teenager, her first show at New Delhi took place. In 1999, she completed her high schooling within Encinitas CA. Anouskha is an aspiring young lady, nevertheless, she has an impressive career in singing and recording. For a long time she has been performing regularly with her father. Her debut solo album, Anourag, was released in 1998. The Grammy Award-winning album Live at Carnegie Hall was released two years following her debut solo album. Alongside performing at many of the biggest venues as well, she has a long stage career. The career of Anoushka goes far beyond music. Bapi The of My Life of My Live is her 2002 book, which is a tribute to Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she appeared on Dance Like a Man as a Bharat Natyam artist. Anoushka is still progressing in her career and will surely be other things to be expected from this talented lady. Anoushka was a frequent traveler and spent lots of her time in London and Delhi throughout her childhood. Then, she relocated to California to finish high school. In Delhi on his birthday, which was celebrated at the age of 75 she made her debut performing the sitar in front of the audience four years following her nine-year-old father. Anoushka had the opportunity to acquire many valuable experiences by accompanying her dad when he toured the world. This included performing in Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concerts, as well as recording alongside George Harrison. She was the youngest and only female winner of the House of Commons Shield awarded by the British Parliament in recognition of her musicianship and talent as a preeminent musician of in the Asian Arts.
